Modspace was engaged by Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga (HUD) in October 2023 to assist a large group of stakeholders with the roll out of Papakāinga Housing for Marae land across Te Tai Tokerau.
We were engaged to complete Factory Design, Site Design and the obtain the Building Consents with relevant Territorial Authorities for multiple sites across the region.
While processing the design work in-house, we began planning and scheduling for our factory manufacturing which commenced in Q4 2023. By the end of Q1 2024, we had completed all 17 x Modspace® 1-Bed Homes and had these sent directly to site or placed into storage until the sites were ready to receive the homes.
Modspace were also engaged to undertake a portion of the on-site works in accordance with Building Consent design documentation, and worked alongside other contractors where necessary.
These Modspace Homes are now installed at 5 different Marae around Te Tai Tokerau.
